Dreaming; an ebbing current of texture and memory. A fusion of light and dark. Dreams bridge the world between the seen and unseen. The psychedelic pattern of a diamond-studded mattress – most often unseen – acts as a marker for this unknown realm. Details are often overlooked. Awareness of your surroundings is highlighted in this threshold dream state. A drawn curtain brings with it the certainty of darkness and a nights sleep. Flowing elegantly, this linen curtain evokes an ever-changing flow of dreams. Red thread signals a temporary presence in this body of work. Dreams are fabricated illusion. Translating the organic form of the curtain and the triangular geometry of the mattress, the model culminates the investigation into the sleep/wake threshold.

I was pleased with how cohesive the body of work turned out to be. The red thread really tied the work together. The linen sheet extended the ideas of fluidity nicely to the model.
